Ways to volunteer

There are many ways you can get involved in the PTFA - it doesn't need to be a big time commitment.

Take a look at some examples of ways you can help out below.

If any look interesting to you, please get in touch - our email address is cliffordbridgepta@gmail.com

  • PTFA Secretary - we need someone to fill this role before we submit our charity application.  All that is needed is someone to take notes at the meetings (1 or 2 per term) and look after the paperwork.  If you want to do a little more, like putting together a newsletter or contributing to the blog, then that's great, but not essential!
  • Stall-holders - at events like the Christmas and Summer Fayres, we have stalls for games and items for sale (for example, the Tombolas & Pocket Money Toy stalls).  We need people to "man" the stalls for either the whole session (usually 2 hours) or just 1/2 the session (if they want to go around the stalls themselves).
  • Face-painters - always popular at our events.  If you (or someone you know) is good at face-painting, let us know.  We have the supplies, so you just need to bring some inspiration!  Or for the less creative amongst you, the temporary tattoos are really easy to apply and just as popular with the kids (especially the older ones).
  • Shoppers - who wouldn't love this job?!  Sometimes we need people to go out & buy items we can sell at a profit for our events, like the Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas gift sales; or buying items for our refreshment stalls.
  • Chefs - ok, maybe not a Michelin-starred chef, but we do need people to help out on the BBQ.
  • Strong people - not necessarily men...!  We always need people to help set up stall tables and other event equipment, like gazebos.
  • Organisers - sometimes we just need organised people to help the events run smoothly!
